Words that matter #1

"I was 21 weeks pregnant when a doctor told my husband and me that our second little boy was missing half his heart. It had stopped growing correctly around five weeks gestation, but the abnormality was not detectable until the 20-week anatomy scan. It was very unlikely that our baby would survive delivery, and if he did, he would ultimately need a heart transplant."
"For us, the decision was about compassion for our unborn baby, who would face overwhelming and horribly painful obstacles."
"As the two-year anniversary of my abortion approaches, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that we made the right decision for our family — and that our government has absolutely no place in the anguish which accompanies a late-term abortion, except to ensure that women and their families have the right to make their choice safely and privately."
This article provides an emotional response to having a late term abortion.  It shows how late term abortion does not happen the way that trump makes it out to be. This article shows how hard the decision to have an abortion is, it is never taken lightly. It is one of the hardest decisions anyone would every have to make. But, people should be able to make it on their own, no one should be able to tell you how to live your life though.

What is Journalism?

What is Journalism?

"Journalism is the work and distribution of reports on the interaction of events, facts, ideas, and people that inform society to at least some degree." But that definition is changing. Journalism in the past was released in newspapers on the radio and on television and even on news reels. Journalism is excelling and becoming more suited to average day people. If someone is in the right place at the right at the right time they can become a journalist. Citizen journalists are everywhere. All anyone needs is a cell phone these days and they can report or take videos on the latest Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton drama. They see something or some event and they post videos or pictures onto a live streaming app or social media. That may seem scary but it is actually a good thing. It makes it so that news is more readily available at all times.

A new modern day example of journalism is a new, live streaming, app called periscope. It lets average people broadcast videos across the world. Anyone can search the app and find certain broadcasts or topics. It is a new form of citizen journalism. It helps get events and ideas out into the world. It makes news readily and easily available. It falls under the heading of journalism because it spreads ideas and events across the world in a very simple way. It is a new preferable form of journalism.
